Nokia announced the launch of two new smartphones in the Canadian market.  The Nokia E72 will be available through TELUS and work on TELUS’ 3G+ network and the Nokia N97 mini is now available through Rogers. and works on the Rogers’ HSPA+ network. Both devices offer integrated billing for the recently-launched Ovi Store.

Tech journalists invited to the launch event got to try the Ovi Navigation on both devices first hand as they zipped around town to visit different Toronto venues in Kensington Market and the Distillery District. Some of the notable features we encountered were the varied views it presented specially 3-D view and Route view. The devices locked in to satellites quickly despite rainy and overcast conditions.
