While the world anxiously awaits Apple's announcement later on today in San Jose, California. Hard Candy Cases sent out press releases and images promoting their new ShockDrop line of cases for the still unrevealed new iPad. A product page for the iPad Mini also appears on their website. The cases themselves look great and will be shipping by October 25th if you order now. See the whole press release after the break.

“ShockDrop is a really elegant way to add protection to the iPad Mini,” says David Adam, Hard Candy Cases Founder and VP of Design. “The design statement includes squaring off the rounded corners to achieve a unique look, that at the same time, adds the most shock absorbing silicon where the device is most fragile in a drop situation.”

The press release added that, "The iPad Mini's size, price point and Apple's focus on iBooks makes this device a serious consideration for K-12 schools and colleges. The biggest concern for these education iPad rollouts, is drop protection and screen protection. The ShockDrop for iPad Mini has been designed from the ground up for maximum protection while still enabling fit in charging carts which are popular in larger rollout."

Hard Candy Cases Releases Ruggedized iPad Mini Case, the ShockDrop for the iPad Mini

Danville, CA (October 23, 2012) Hard Candy Cases is leading the way in the case industry, and is ready at new product launch of the iPad Mini with a superior case, the ShockDrop for the iPad Mini. Following Apples announcement Tuesday October 23, ShockDrop cases for the iPad Mini are available for order online at http://www.hardcandycases.com/ipad-mini-shockdrop-rugged-case.html.

Hard Candy Cases continues to produce and release world-class cases ahead of time so they can be available for consumers at the same time of the largely anticipated iPad Mini. The company takes calculated risks to make sure cases are available to protect their new device from day one – just like they recently did with the ShockDrop for the iPhone 5.

The ShockDrop Case for the iPad Mini (also available for the iPad 2 and the iPad 3) offers the most ruggedized protection of any rubber and polycarbonate case on the market. 10 mm of shock absorbing silicon at corners slims to 6mm of protection on the body.  A semi-rigid (and replaceable) screen protector and tear proof flaps are other superior characteristics offered in Hard Candy’s new iPad case.

The iPad Mini's size, price point and Apple's focus on iBooks makes this device a serious consideration for K-12 schools and colleges. The biggest concern for these education iPad rollouts, is drop protection and screen protection. The ShockDrop for iPad Mini has been designed from the ground up for maximum protection while still enabling fit in charging carts which are popular in larger rollouts.

Hard Candy’s ShockDrop for the iPad mini is part of the ShockDrop series. An entirely new design with superior protection, initially introduced for the iPhone 5. The ruggedized cases start and end with the protection and the fit, and Hard Candy takes it to a whole new level with clever, but simple additions.
