It is rare to see full-frame digital cameras appear in consumer bodies and it is even rarer to see them in point-and-shoot type cameras. Full-frame sensors are the same size as 35mm film cameras. Sony is pushing the boundaries of what is possible with a rather small shooter packing a big sensor. The Sony RX-1 has a  Carl Zeiss 35mm f/2.0 lens and is said to be packing a 24-inch sensor and a $2700 price tag that blows it right by Leica territory.

Other an an ISO range of 100-25,600, 5 frame per second continuous shooting, 1080p HD video recording, a solid magnesium body and a 3-inch LCD screen.
