Earlier this month, I was invited by Toyota to tour their manufacturing facilities in Cambridge, Ontario. While the sections I visited focused on building the popular Lexus RX line, management had a special surprise set up for visitors: a first look at some upcoming models that will soon be hitting Canadian streets.

I’ll be writing about my plant visit in more detail, shortly – but just couldn’t wait to share this inside look with you. Hit jump for some first impressions.

Early Look the Lexus RC F Coupe

If this machine drives the way it looks, I can’t wait to get behind the wheel. I’m very impressed with the design. The exaggerated grille and sweeping lines are bound to get this car noticed.

Of course it’s what you find under the sheet metal that really matters. I’m aiming to get a chance to fire up the 5.0L V8 this summer.

Previewing the Sporty Lexus NX

As a new foray into the Luxury CUV market, the Lexus NX definitely looks the part. The sharp looking vehicle shares a platform with Toyota’s RAV 4, which is built at a sister plant in Woodstock.

The NX is not currently manufactured in Canada, although the rumour mill is rampant with talk that the facilities may get the nod from HQ in Japan to build it. Either way – this vehicle is definitely worth checking out. I can’t wait to bring you a more detailed review.
