Seems that heavy discounting and some popular bundles have helped Microsoft's Xbox One console overtake Sony's PlayStation 4 console for the first time since the two next gen consoles hit the market.  Microsoft has announced that Xbox One was the best selling console in November (thank you, Black Friday). Hit jump for details.

This is based on NDP Group data but no specific numbers have been given. Microsoft unloaded a bunch of new XBox One SKUs with various game specific bundles and discounted models, they also bounced the Kinect in order to bring down price (it is still availble as an add on, of course). Console exclusive games have also played a huge part in the sudden spike in console sales.

"November set a new record for sales of Xbox One, and Xbox One was the best-selling console in the US and UK. Response to the holiday lineup of games on Xbox One was incredible, with Xbox One fans buying more games in November in the U.S. than any other gen eight platform and enjoying over 357 million hours of gameplay globally. In fact, more fans logged into Xbox Live across Xbox One and Xbox 360, and enjoyed more entertainment, than any other month in the history of Xbox," Microsoft said in a released statement.
