Plantronics  announced that Joe Burton, CTO and SVP of Technology, Development and Strategy, and Cary Bran, senior director of Innovation and New Ventures will be speaking at Enterprise Connect 2014, on related topics that address the growing opportunity for businesses to leverage wearable technology in the enterprise.

Plantronics has been a wearable tech pioneer for decades, developing and delivering personal audio solutions that are used by millions to communicate. With its advances in on-board sensor technology and its open APIs, the company has moved the classic headset beyond audio and transformed it into a wearable device and platform that opens up new avenues for workplace efficiency and improved workflows.

Burton’s session, “Impact and Opportunities: Wearable Tech In the Enterprise,” will address advances in big data, analytics, cloud, contextual information, wearable tech, sensors, and mobility, and outline how this perfect storm of technologies is helping to redefine the future of enterprise efficiency and collaboration.

Cary Bran, senior director of Innovation and New Ventures for Plantronics and head of PLT Labs, will co-present with Tom Richards, product management lead on Desktop Video Collaboration for Cisco, about advances in communications and collaboration related to context-aware computing, wearable devices and mobility.

Additionally, Bran will also present at the WebRTC Conference, an event co-located with the Enterprise Connect show. During that conferences’ demo session, Bran will show how the Plantronics Voyager Legend and PLT Labs Wearable Concept 1, integrate with WebRTC environments.
