I am a heavy user. There. I said it. Some would say I’m addicted to my iPhone5S but most of us are dependent on our mobile devices. We swear it would be the first thing we grab (aside from our family members) in case of an emergency. Here's how Seido's Innocell stacks up to our use case.

We do everything on our phones. We have our daily calendars on there. We check emails, text, instagram, stream, play games, use apps etc and can organize our lives around these brilliant inventions. We are hooked. All in.

With that dependency what’s the one worry we all have? Besides losing it (and that’s ugly! Almost lost mine once and I had a panic attack) we’re most worried about draining our batteries. I admit that a couple years ago, I would be the one who would be looking for an electrical outlet at restaurants and coffee shops to cuddle up to. But thank goodness for back-up batteries.

Recently, we here at CanadianReviewer.com were offered the opportunity to test out INNOCELL PLUS Combo by SEIDIO. The kit offers a protective battery case & holster. I was the more than the most willing tester.

My iPhone 5S easily snapped into the battery case just like any other protective case. I’m a fan of being discreet so the sleek matte black case offers that so my gold iPhone doesn’t draw attention.

When charging, both phone and battery case are taken care of. The case can stay on the phone at all times and even for syncing files. According to the company, the INNOCELL will double your device’s battery life. Four tiny light indicators on the back of the pack will tell you how much juice is on the back up. Activating the back up battery charge is done manually when you want it.

In this case, my iPhone battery gets used first. I had tested running my device right down to 1 per cent before turning on the  INNOCELL battery pack. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re like me and sweats once you start seeing the red bar on your phone. I would suggest turning on the Innocell battery pack when your iPhone battery life line shows red.

The headphone port is compatible with Apple EarPods and other long straight plugs. Pretty straight forward here.

I’m not really a holster wearing type of gal but I’m sure this comes in handy for others who still want this option. The holster offers a secure fastening for your iPhone and locks in place. You would have to slide the top release to remove it. What’s also interesting to note is the belt clip is designed to rotate for your comfort or easier access. (photo shown with iPhone in the holster - not too bulky!)

Overall, it’s a reliable extra battery pack that is lightweight and sleek for on the go and daily use. Great for summer roadtrips and vacations too!
