Steam wants to make sure it is easier for you to splurge on games with a new discoverability engine. You get a new homepage that shows you personalized recommendations based on the games you play and curators you follow. This homepage is customizable so if there are games you don’t have any interest in, you can take them out. There is also a new “discovery queue” list as well where you can mark games you want to add to your wish list or take out those you don’t want.

If you want to gain a following on the site, you can act as a curator on the site. You just need a YouTube group and users can follow your group for recommendations. Developers can also check out where their titles show up to help them improve marketing.
