Netatmo brings Welcome camera and Weather Station to Canada

Netatmo is helping make your home safer with its products making its way to the country. The French brand is bringing its Welcome smart home camera and Weather Station products. The Netatmo Welcome is a security camera with face recognition technology that’s able to notify you on your phone if a stranger appears in your home. It’ll also let you know if your child comes home. You can personalize the notifications you receive through its companion app that runs on iOS 8 and Android 4.3 and higher. It can broadcast full HD videos and offers a 130-degree viewing angle. It boasts of great night vision as well and supports Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. It is powered through a microUSB power adapter and comes with an embedded microphone and microSD card. Security is said to be “bank-level” kind of encryption. This retails for $219 and is available through Netatmo, Amazon, Home Depot, and Best Buy Canada.

Now, if you’re the type to monitor the weather, the Netatmo Weather Station offers the capabilities to track indoor and outdoor environmental elements such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, CO2 levels, and noise pollution. You get this information right on your smartphone. It transmits information via Wi-Fi. It comes with an indoor and outdoor module. You can purchase additional accessories such as an additional module, rain gauge accessory, and a wind gauge accessory. These are also available through Netatmo, Amazon, and Best Buy Canada. The Weather Station retails for $179 while the additional module and rain gauge will cost you $99. The price for the wind gauge hasn’t been announced yet.
