We recently covered the Shot on iPhone 6 online gallery featuring images made by 77 iPhone 6 photographers from 70 cities in 24 countries, including Canadian John Lehmann from Vancouver, BC. These original and non-commissioned images were chosen among tens of thousands by Apple, and will be celebrated on various magazine print ads as well as billboards of varying sizes around the world, a testament to the creative potential of the iPhone 6's camera and proof that anyone can make great photos with today's tools and technology.

Apple also recently made the new Photos app available on OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, which replaces the ageing consumer-focused iPhoto application as well as the prosumer Aperture application on Macs. Photos brings powerful, yet intuitive editing control to images taken on iPhones and shared via iCloud.
