Google Auto, the future of Google cars?

Google Auto has been around for a while. They’ve been responsible for the self-driving car experiments Google has been doing. The division has been set up as a distinct company back in 2011 and they’ve been partnering with car manufacturers since that time to bring their auto-related experiments to life. As a company, they can legally manufacture cars on their own. It’s worth noting that Google Auto’s the first Google product that has been spun off into its own company. Perhaps, it’s been done that way to shift risk away from Google or make filing paperwork easier. Either way, we won’t be surprised if there might be Google-branded self-driving cars in the future.
