Motorola's Moto X Pure Edition available for preorder in the US today

The much awaited Moto X Pure Edition, which is Motorola's first flagship smartphone released under the stewardship of Lenovo, will be made available for preorder today. The Moto X Pure Edition (which will be sold as the Moto X Style in other countries) will be sold unlocked and can work with all major wireless carriers in the United States and starts at US $399.

Available as a Moto Maker created phone, the price can go up depending on materials chosen (everything from subtle soft grip materials to ethically sourced hardwoods and bespoke Horween leather). 

The Moto X Pure Edition offers flagship smartphone features at a lower price point.  The Pure Editions have a 5.7-inch a Quad HD display, a 21-megapixel camera capable of shooting 4K video, dual stereo speakers, a fast 1.8 GHz hexa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and the ability to add up to 128 GB of storage via a microSD card. Various Motorola exclusive features like Moto Action, Moto Display and Moto Assist as well as Pure Android OS with guaranteed upgrades to the latest software (Marshamallow) when it rolls out.

Moto X Pure Edition also features an industry first, the ability to plug into a TurboPower charger and 10 hours worth of charge in a mere 15 minutes of being plugged in.
