Twitter announed today that Persiscope broadcasts will be brought directly into tweets. Periscope, which was launched by Twitter last year has already reached 100 million broadcasts and now the company hopes to intertwine users of both services by making live and replay feeds available into Tweets.
Starting with the iOS Twitter app, Periscope broadcasts in Twitter timelines offer a new way to experience the world, giving Periscope broadcasters a window to a massive new audience.
For broadcasters, this means they can reach the massive Twitter audience. And for everyone on Twitter, there’s now a richer experience in your home timeline, search results, and on anyone’s profile who’s shared a Periscope. Users on Android and on the web should be getting some love soon, but right now the new feature is only available to iOS.
