Two new Apple iPad Pro ads highlight a couple of important features of the tablets. One is the “Augmented Reality” ad that shows a girl biking around a city street when she spots a man quietly reading a newspaper on the bench. For some reason, she stops and decides to whip out her iPad Pro to show off how augmented reality can work in this scene. She drops some furniture around him. The short 15-second ad ends with the tagline: “A new way to augment reality.” The description in the video’s YouTube page says, “With iPad Pro + iOS 11, you can use augmented reality to literally transform the world around you. Your next computer might not be a computer.”

Meanwhile, the second ad shows the same girl sitting in a tree as she takes some pretty cool notes on her tablet. The ad shows off the multitasking capability of the device and the use of the Apple Pencil as she drags a file from her Files app and into the notes she’s been taking. Much like the first ad, it ends with the line: A new way to take notes.” This ad’s description on its YouTube page reads, “With iPad Pro + iOS 11, you can use Apple Pencil to create multimedia notes. Draw, type, or drag and drop your favorite photos from Files. Your next computer might not be a computer.”

Will this entice people to go out and buy iPad Pros? They’re not particularly compelling ads but they are a fun, quick way of showing off some of the  features of the Apple tablet.
