Enabling two-factor authentication is an essential feature you should be enabling. Now, you can protect your Facebook account without handing over your phone number. You can use authentication apps like Google Authenticator, TypingDNA, and Authy. You can enable this by heading to Settings > Security and Login and then head over to Two-factor authentication.
