Are you a big Star Wars fan? Time to flex those creative muscles. Design your own Star Wars droid and stand a chance to have it featured in an upcoming story. You also get to attend the world premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December, where your design will be unveiled publicly for the first time.

Star Wars: Force for Change and a global robotics community FIRST partnered for this contest in hopes of inspiring the next generation of heroes and innovators in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and creative arts.

The contest is open to fans and artists ages 16 and up. You must submit your droid design in the form of a sketch, drawing, or painting to starwars.com/buildmydroidcontest on or before November 13, 2019. Canadian Star Wars fans and artists are eligible to join, except for those in Quebec.

According to StarWars.com, the panel of judges for the contest will include Star Wars Creature and Special Make-up Effects Supervisor Neal Scanlan; Lucasfilm Vice President and Creative Producer John Swartz; Lucasfilm Senior Creative Executive Pablo Hidalgo; celebrity Star Wars fan and STEM advocate Mayim Bialik; and Dean Kamen, FIRST founder and inventor of the LUKE Arm, which is a revolutionary prosthesis inspired by Luke Skywalker.
