New York, NY- HP today unveiled a series of multifunction printers that are designed around the needs of small businesesses and startups. The new OfficeJet Pro printers were shown off recently at the Three Seat Espresso and Barber shop in New York's trendy East Village.

The idea was to show how the latest OfficeJet Pro and OfficeJet Premiere printers can integrate into a small business while solving many problems for entrepreneurs. It all starts with the design, the latest HP OfficeJet printers are up to 40 per cent smaller yet pack the same high-speed inkjet printing capability as older models.

The printers also have a lot of mobile functionality with a companion app, including the ability to use a smartphone's camera as a scanner for receipts which can be organized on the printer.

Director of Global Marketing at HP Ladd Martin explains the advantages of HP's Instant Ink subscription

Aside from being more compact, the OfficeJet printers are visually more exciting and designed to be shown off, not hidden. Some models even come in trendy hues as well as aluminum finishes. Where most office printers are hidden away because they are either large or unsightly, the new HP OfficeJet models can be placed front and centre where they are most useful.

Another advantage of HP's OfficeJet offerings are that many can be bundled with HP's Instant Ink subscription, which uses the smart printer's connected nature, to automatically order new ink cartridges before the current stock runs out. The ink is delivered for free saving business owners another thing to worry about.

The entry-level OfficeJet Pro 8025 costs just US $170 and is capable of speedy printing (up to 20 pages per minute) printing. There's an easy to use  2.65-inch touchscreen interface plus a 225-page paper tray. The OfficeJet Pro 8035 costs  $200 with attractive basalt (gray), oasis (teal), or coral (pink) accents, these models, coming in May, feature a USB port, and an 8-month supply of ink.

HP's Ladd Martin explained the advantages of HP's Instant Ink service, specially for small business and consumers. The system works for the small inkjet cartridges that have colour and black and white options but isn't yet available for laser printer products as toner sizes tend to be larger. HP's latest OfficeJet printers are now available for in various markets.
