For the second time around, Lucifer is meeting its end. Variety confirmed that the show is ending its run in its fifth season. The series previously aired on Fox for three seasons before Netflix picked it up for a recently released fourth season. According to a statement from a Netflix spokesperson, ““We’re thrilled that ‘Lucifer’ fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for.”

Lucifer follows Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel who works with the LAPD to take down criminals. The series also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Rachael Harris, D.B. Woodside, and Scarlett Estevez. It’s produced by Warner Bros. Television in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Television. It’s characters are based on those created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg for Vertigo from DC Entertainment.
