Nintendo Switch users who are also fans of Apex Legends will have to wait for the game to come out. EA and Respawn announced the release would be pushed back to sometime in 2021. According to game director Chad Grenier, the companies need more time to make sure the game runs as they want it before bringing it to the portable platform.

“We’re still hard at work on the port, but in order to do justice to the game and make it into the great experience Switch players deserve, our team needs more time,” Grenier wrote. “This year has brought on unexpected new challenges, to put it mildly, and we don’t want to rush anything out.”

Grenier promised that the port will support full cross-play and have feature parity with other platforms. Switch users can also expect the latest seasonal updates.
