The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the first smartphone to feature Wi-Fi 6E, the newest Wi-Fi standard. But what does this mean for Galaxy S21 Ultra users? Using the 6GHz spectrum, the standard is supposed to offer theoretical data transfer speeds of 2.4Gbps, which is double the previous generation's speed. A Broadcom BCM4389 chip makes this possible.
When connected to a Wi-Fi 6E-certified router, this smartphone should get faster downloads and uploads. It should be a breeze to stream 4K/8K content, play competitive online games, and download large files.
Right now, only the US and South Korea have reportedly allowed the use of the 6GHz spectrum. But countries like Brazil, Chile, the UAE, UK, and other nations in Europe are expected to use the 6GHz spectrum soon.
