Aside from sharing more details about Resident Evil VillageCapcom also unveiled its new online multiplayer game that pits some of its most iconic characters against each other. Resident Evil Re:Verse will bring back characters like Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine in four to six player deathmatches. Those who buy Village will get this game for free.

Each match lasts around five minutes. Every time your character dies, they transform into a zombie. And your character can become more powerful by picking up capsules. So, in a way, you can somewhat get back at the player who takes you out and earn additional points off of them.

Re:Verse will work on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam later this year. With backward compatibility, it will also work on the PS5 and Xbox Series S and X. Capcom is currently accepting beta applications for the game until January 25, if you're interested in trying it out.
