Google has released an update for both the latest Pixel 6 devices and the older Pixels bringing many new features to these phones. The Pixel 6 Pro gets Ultra-wideband (UWB) capability, making it easier to share photos and files via the Nearby Share function. The Pixel 6 series also gets the digital car key function, allowing you to unlock and start select BMW models.

Quick Tap to Snap is coming to the Pixel 4a 5G and newer devices. The feature, which was previously only available on the Pixel 6, lets you access Snapchat directly from your lock screen by double-tapping the back of the phone.

Pixel 3 and newer Pixels now let you adjust how long you need to hold the power button to activate Google Assistant. These handsets also get the Bass Slider, which enables you to double the bass range for Pixel Buds A series from -1 to +4.

Car crash detection is coming to Taiwan, Italy, and France. When a car crash is detected, the feature automatically sends location and details to emergency services. The recorder app can now transcribe Japanese, French, and German. And the Now Playing feature is rolling out, too, allowing you to identify a song and quickly add it to your favourites.
