Fossil has unveiled its new Gen 6 smartwatches. These new wearables are running on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 4100+ platform with the current generation of Wear OS. As we know, Fossil plans to roll out the update at a later date. This new chipset promises 85% improved performance over Wear 3100 with enhanced battery efficiency. It's expected to last up to 24 hours before needing a charge.

This new series comes with connectivity options, including Bluetooth 5 LE, Wi-Fi, and NFC SE. There isn't any LTE option. These smartwatches come with Google Pay and Google Assistant onboard. Even without LTE, you can take calls on this watch with its built-in mic and speaker.

The Gen 6 series get health tracking features like SpO2, heart rate, and sleep and nap. They have different sports modes and come with 3ATM water resistance.

There are two size options: 42mm and 44mm. Both come with a 1.28-inch display with 416 x 416 resolution, always-on functionality, and three side buttons, with the middle one serving as the rotating crown.

Fossil Gen 6 comes in Smoke Stainless Steel, Brown Leather, Green Camo Grosgrain, and Gold/Purple options. The company plans to release versions of this smartwatch under the Michael Kors brand, too. The stainless steel option goes for US$319, while the rest of the lineup is priced at US$299. Extra bands come in silicone, stainless steel, and leather, with a starting price of US$29. There is no word yet on international pricing or availability.
