One of the newest machines Lenovo introduced at Mobile World Congress is its first ThinkPad laptop running on Qualcomm's latest laptop processor. The ThinkPad X13s is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip. It's also designed to be a lightweight, energy-efficient machine. It comes in at just 2.5 pounds with its fanless design, featuring top and bottom panels made from 90 percent recycled magnesium. It has a low-power 400-nit 13.3-inch display, which it says helps to keep the ThinkPad X13s running for up to 28 hours on a single charge.

As a mobile gadget, it ensures you stay connected to a speedy internet connection with support for 5G (both sub-6Hz and mmWave) and Wi-Fi 6E. It also has up to 32GB of RAM, up to 1TB of PCIe storage, and two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports.

It's preinstalled with Windows 11 Pro and uses Qualcomm collaboration features like AI-based auto-framing for its 5-megapixel webcam and intelligent noise suppression for its triple microphone setup. It even has a human presence detection feature that automatically dims or turns off the laptop's display if it detects you've looked away to protect your data. It's potentially a valuable feature for the enterprise market, which ThinkPads are built for.

Lenovo plans to sell the ThinkPad X13s sometime in May with a starting price of US$1,100 (around CA$1,402).
