Remember that viral AI chatbot, ChatGPT? The one that sparked excitement about generative AI tools? Well, it just got easier to try. OpenAI, the minds behind ChatGPT, launched a new feature this week: you can now chat with ChatGPT directly on their website, no account required!

This means, anyone curious about AI chatbots but hasn't tried yet can finally experience it firsthand. OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, stated in a recent blog post that it was "core" to its mission to make it widely available. They added, "More than 100 million people across 185 countries use ChatGPT weekly to learn something new, find creative inspiration, and get answers to their questions."

OpenAI is rolling out this account-free access gradually. While the link may not work yet everywhere, it's worth checking back soon. Just be aware that your conversation inputs might be used to improve OpenAI's technology (though you can opt-out in Settings, even without an account).

While account creation lets you save chat history, share chats, and unlock features like voice chat and custom instructions, creating an account is optional. If you enjoy your ad-hoc chat and think you might use it again, consider creating an account for a more personalized experience.
