Android reaches critical mass: Now accepting apps from 20 countries and sellling to 18 more

Google's Android OS is sure gaining momentum. These past few months have seen a number of new and notable handsets (most sporting the newer versions of the OS) as well as an increase in market share and user awareness. It has even increased its mobile browser share significantly. Now developers from 20  more countries can sell their apps and users in 18 more countries can buy these apps. Google announces Android 2.2 Froyo with Flash, 5x speed increase

The latest version of Google Android OS, version 2.2 codenamed Froyo was announced at the Google IO developers conference. Froyo (for frozen yogurt) is the seventh update to the Android platform brings added functionality to users (things like making your handset a portable hotspot and support for Adobe Flash within the browser), along with new tools for developers and a significant 5x speed and performance increase on existing hardware.
