Nokia Beta Labs has showcased the latest iteration of its computer-to-phone software,Ovi Suite 3.0. The updated version of the program brings a rejuvenated user interface, focused on multimedia management and playback. Ovi Music, previously a separated player from the Ovi Suite, is now bundled in the suite itself, hopefully reducing not only performance issues, but also providing a better user experience.

The Ovi Suite presents a single point of access to the Ovi world, which extends Nokia mobile phones with maps, music, videos, apps, and smartphone software updates. It is crucial for the Finnish telecommunications giant to achieve a simple, yet complete experience so that users are able to enrich their handsets with content.

Version 3.0 of the software is still in beta release, which means that users may find bugs or simple issues, but at the moment, the following novelties have been listed: recommended music and games being listed, quicker access to content and synchronisation, notifications for software update and phone backup, improved prompts for internet connection, playback controls for music, downloads of music from Ovi Music, maps' view improvement and faster and simple installation.
