Nokia today announced in its blog that it is discontinuing the use of OVI as a brand to sell music, apps and games. According to the announcement, "Today, Nokia made a decision to change our service branding from Ovi to Nokia. The main reason for this change is so we can leverage the high-value of the Nokia master brand to better support future plans to deliver disruptive and compelling mobile experiences globally." Nokia states that nothing should change in the way users experience their services.
