Netflix continues to offer original content for families and the latest extension of Activision Blizzard's very popular Skylanders video game. Skylanders Academy  follows the adventure of a rag-tag team of characters Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz as they travel the Skylands universe and protecting it from evil.

Led by showrunner Eric Rogers (Futurama), the animated action-adventure series features the voices of Justin Long (Dodge Ball) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical, Phineas and Ferb) as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks (Breaking BadBetter Call Saul) as Eruptor and Norm MacDonald (Saturday Night Live) as Glumshanks. Additional voice talent includes Susan Sarandon, Daniel Wu, Parker Posey, James Hetfield, Catherine O’Hara, Chris Diamantopoulos and Harland Williams, among others.

12 episodes will launch on Friday, October 28, 2016 to Netflix members worldwide --  and the streaming service will offer a second season in late 2017.
