Forget everything you know about vacuums because Dyson has just turned this appliance on its head. Defying the belief that the best vacuums need to be large, upright models connected to the power outlet, the Dyson Cyclone V10 can suck up a storm on any surface while maintingin a small and lightweight profile anyone can use.

Dyson’s so invested in this new handheld vacuum technology, that It has stopped development on its larger upright vacuums. Effectively ending the run of the very product line it has built its reputation on. Bold statement but valid once you see what this new vacuum can do.

The Cyclone V10 is a game changer in many ways. It is cordless, it is one-handed, it has an hour’s worth of battery on a single charge and it is a demon when it comes to cleaning.

Dyson’s made the motor smaller in size but with larger sucking capacity. The company has also redesigned the dust and dirt receptacle so that sucking action is more direct. My favorite feature is the improved emptying mechanism that simply pushes all the dirt and debris out of the canister in one movement. All the innovations add upt to deliver the best cleaning experience on any handheld vacuum today.

I live in an area with both carpet and linoleum, have two furry cats that shed constantly and find I needed to have the most powerful upright vacuums to clean my space. To my surprise, the Cyclone V10 does more than a decent job, it is more portable, doesn’t require a cable and can even suck up Cheerios, which have been one of the most challenging items for Dyson to figure out.

Thanks to extensions and the long tube it comes with, the Dysone Cyclone V10 can also reach remote areas, ceilings, fans and hard to reach places that no upright vacuum can come close to.

This is a domestic appliance marvel. Like Iron Man’s mini Arc Reactor but embedded in a tightly integrated and impeccably designed vacuum that anyone can use.
