True to the rumours, Apple has officially unveiled the third-generation AirPods. These base level buds get a refreshed look, Spatial Audio support, and the Pro's "force sensor" for controlling calls and music. The AirPods also get IPX4 water and sweat resistance.

The runtime gets increased by an hour. It is now at six hours on the buds and up to 30 hours with the case. The AirPods' charging case now also supports MagSafe. The third-gen AirPods start at $239, and you can order these now with shipping starting on October 25.

Aside from introducing new AirPods, the HomePod gets three new colours: dark blue, orange, and yellow.

Apple Music has a new Voice plan with the HomePod and those who listen to Apple Music via the AirPods in mind. You can queue up songs by asking Siri to do it for you. This cheaper $4.99 plan will work with CarPlay, along with all your Apple devices. Like the Individual plan, it's only available to one person. It is coming to Canada "later this fall."

According to TechCrunchApple wants to market the feature to non-subscribers who ask for music through Siri. They can get a free seven-day trial with no auto-renewal.
