Samsung might not have made any drastic changes to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but it did for the Galaxy S23 and S23+. The two phones inherit the S23 Ultra's floating camera design, meaning it loses that Phantom of the Opera-esque camera cutout. These new S23 phones all come with the same colour options: Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender. There are also exclusive Samsung online-only colours in Lime, Graphite, Sky Blue, and Red.

If you want a phone on the smaller side, the Samsung Galaxy 23 still sports a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23+ has a 6.6-inch display. Both are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and have 120Hz refresh rates. Samsung boasts about the increased use of post-consumer recycled materials in this series.

Like the Ultra, the Galaxy S23 and S23+ run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor. That "for Galaxy" means these phones can hit a higher clock speed at 3.3GHz (a 0.1GHz bump from the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset). These S23 and S23+ get a 200mAh battery capacity bump, putting them at 3,900mAh and 4,700mAh, respectively.

Samsung has one of the best software upgrade policies on Android, and that continues with the S23 series. You're promised four Android OS upgrades and five years of monthly security updates. These phones launch on the Android 13-based OneUI 5.1.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 gets a starting price of $1,099.99 for the 128GB model, while the S23+ starts at $1,399.99 for the 256GB option. There's no 128GB model for the S23+. As with the Ultra, it's worth checking out the trade-in and pre-order deals so you can get discounts on other Samsung Galaxy products, a free Samsung Care+ plan, and get a free storage upgrade.
