Following the report of its third-quarter earnings, Microsoft's Chief Financial Officer Amy Hood sent out a quarterly internal message reflecting on the company's 50th anniversary while also talking about its recently released artificial intelligence agents.

In the email obtained by Business Insider, Hood said the new AI agents called Researcher and Analyst are a "glimpse of what's ahead" for the company. These agents are built on OpenAI models and are being used in Microsoft 365 to analyze work data.

Microsoft's stock jumped 6% in after-hours trading following the release of its third-quarter earnings, which beat analyst expectations.
