Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 Edge, a slim and artificial intelligence-powered smartphone first teased at the Galaxy S25 launch and later showcased at Mobile World Congress 2025. The device aims to redefine flagship design with its ultra-thin 5.8mm profile and light 163g weight without sacrificing premium features.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is encased in a durable titanium frame with curved edges and protected by the new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. Despite its slender form, the smartphone packs a powerful 200-megapixel main camera with an improved sensor promising up to 40% brighter low-light shots. AI-powered tools like Drawing Assist and Audio Eraser, integrated with the ProVisual Engine, aim to elevate content creation effortlessly.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, with a redesigned vapour chamber cooling system to manage heat within the ultra-slim chassis. The display experience is enhanced by AI-powered ProScaler, which is designed to intelligently sharpen and brighten content without excessive battery drain.
Seamless integration within the Samsung ecosystem is a key feature, offering smarter fitness and sleep tracking through Samsung Health, alongside free wellness features. Samsung Wallet also sees an upgrade with the new Tap to Transfer functionality for easier payments and money transfers.
Early hands-on impressions suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge feels remarkably comfortable in hand, maintaining a desirable 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Quad HD+ display size. However, the 3,900mAh battery raises some concerns about potential all-day battery life.
In Canada, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is priced at $1,678.99 for the 256GB version and $1,858.99 for the 512GB variant, positioning it between the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra. It will be available in Titanium Silver and Titanium Black. Pre-orders are open now at Samsung.com, with the official on-sale date set for May 30.
