Alongside the launch of its new foldables, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic, which blend an iconic design language with advanced, personalized wellness insights.
Building on the Galaxy Watch Ultra's "cushion" design, the Watch8 series is Samsung's thinnest and most comfortable Galaxy Watch yet, aimed at continuous health tracking.
Both models feature a vibrant 3,000-nit display for clear visibility, a powerful battery, and a new 3nm processor for fast performance. A dual-frequency GPS ensures precise location tracking, while the BioActive Sensor provides deeper health insights.
Samsung is significantly enhancing its sleep tracking, offering tailored sleep coaching, detection of sleep apnea signs, and new features like Bedtime Guidance to optimize sleep cycles and Vascular Load to monitor vascular stress during sleep. For the first time in a smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch8 series introduces an Antioxidant Index, measuring carotenoid levels in five seconds to inform lifestyle choices.
Fitness tracking is also more personalized with Running Coach, which develops tailored training plans based on fitness levels. New features like High Stress Alert and Mindfulness Tracker help manage stress in real-time while the artificial intelligence-powered Energy Score provides a daily snapshot of physical and mental energy levels.
Developed in collaboration with Google, the Galaxy Watch8 series is the first smartwatch to run Wear OS 6 and comes with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, pre-loaded. Users can utilize natural voice commands to manage Samsung Health, Calendar, and more, or even initiate workouts hands-free. The new One UI 8 Watch optimizes the user interface with Multi-Info Tiles and a Now Bar for quick access to key information.
The Galaxy Watch8 offers a sleek, minimalist design while the Galaxy Watch8 Classic brings timeless sophistication with a rotating bezel. Both can be paired with various stylish bands. Samsung also highlighted the new, premium Galaxy Watch Ultra, designed for outdoor adventures with robust performance and the longest battery life in the lineup.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra are now available for pre-order, with general availability beginning July 25.
