Meta introduced a new feature to Threads that allows users to attach up to 10,000 characters of text to a single post. The move aims to eliminate the need for users to share screenshots of long-form text, such as book excerpts, newsletters, or podcast transcripts, when the standard 500-character limit falls short.
The new "text attachment" tool is designed to help creators, journalists, and authors share complex perspectives directly within the app. While the main post remains concise, the attached text provides an expandable format for deeper storytelling. Users can still include external links in their main posts to drive traffic to their full work on other platforms.
This update is part of Meta’s ongoing effort to enhance the creator experience and foster more robust community discussions.
