DJI takes on Insta360 outside of the courtroom with the launch of its dual camera-equipped Osmo Pocket 4P. The pocket gimbal camera debuted in China, with its standard kit retailing for CNY 3,799 (around CA$794).

It features a 1-inch main sensor with LOFIC technology, an equivalent focal length of 20mm, and an f/2.0 aperture. This camera is paired with a telephoto shooter with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a 60mm equivalent focal length, and an f/1.8 aperture. The telephoto camera also has 3x native optical zoom and up to a 12x digital zoom.

When recording videos, the Osmo Pocket 4P supports D-Log2 colour and 10-bit video recording and can record up to 4K at 60 frames per second or up to 4K 240fps in slow motion. Its 3-axis mechanical gimbal supports intelligent subject tracking. For photos, it can shoot 37-megapixel stills and has a Panorama mode.

The Osmo Pocket 4P also comes with a 2-inch rotating touch display with up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. It is powered by a 1,545mAh battery with fast-charging support, which DJI claims just needs 32 minutes for a full charge. This gimbal camera comes with 103GB of internal storage, with support for up to 1TB via microSD. Its connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth LE 5.4.
