While still retaining its compact size, the new Fujifilm Instax Pal 2 gets a fresh, analog-inspired look. It now looks like a squished Fujifilm camera, with a built-in optical viewfinder, shutter release, and top screen to help you frame photos and view what you've taken. It still has some fun filter effects, but it adds a new Animation shooting mode that can capture 10 frames and turn these into a flipbook-style animation.
The Instax Pal 2 is still a digital camera that doesn't directly capture instant analog photos. You can store some of your shots on the camera, as it comes with a microSD card slot. It also still works with Fujifilm's Instax Pal app, which you can use as a remote shutter release if you have it on a tripod. The app also lets you transfer photos to your phone so you can connect to Instax's wireless printers. You can even select between Instax Mini, Instax Square, or Instax Wide instant film and frameless formats and edit your pictures to add filters, text and stickers. Fujifilm's Instax Pal 2 comes in black and white and retails for $219.99 in Canada.
