Google Assistant is now bilingual

At least when it comes to six specific languages. But that’s still an incredible feat for Google’s digital assistant. At the moment, no other voice assistant can’t support more than one language at a time. Google Now previously had bilingual support. But starting today, Google is rolling out globally the ability for Google Assistant to recognize two languages at once. It’s currently limited to English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. Here are the instructions on how to enable the feature, once it’s available to you. And when it does come, theoretically it should work for Assistant on both your mobile devices and Google Home, possibly even third-party Assistant-powered speakers.

Indian actress Soundarya Sharma joins ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ cast

Another name is being added to the roster of actors joining the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel. This time, the new actress might not be a household name globally but being part of this high profile superhero film might change that. Indian actress Soundarya Sharma joins the cast of Wonder Woman 1984 in an unidentified role. Sharma is expected to come in and start filming at the end of October. Sharma told TheHindu.com a bit about how she feels about being cast and it suggests she plays a substantial role in the movie.  She said, “This I can say is a ‘dream coming true’ situation. It’s exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character and idolised it.”

Sharma will be joining returning actors Gal Gadot and Chris Pine for this Patty Jenkins’ directed film. Another newcomer to the franchise is comedian Kristen Wiig, who will be playing the villain Cheetah. Other new cast members include Narcos’ Pedro Pascal and Ravi Patel.

‘Diablo’ series reportedly in the works for Netflix

Rumour has it we’re getting another video game-based series on Netflix apart from Castlevania. This time around, it’s being reported that Blizzard and Netflix are working on bringing Diablo to life on the video streaming service. Revenge of the Fans site reports Hellboy writer Andrew Cosby has been asked to pen the script for the show. As to what type of series it would be or where it will be based is something we don’t know yet. Also, without any confirmation from either company, it’s important to take this rumour with a big grain of salt. With BlizzCon coming up, we should hear something about this soon. And if it does become a real production, is this something you’ll be interested in watching?
