iOS 11 coming as a free update tomorrow

Tomorrow will see Apple's servers getting busy as the company releases iOS 11, the latest version of their operating system for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices.

A huge update for iPads, iOS 11 brings enhanced multitasking, a new dock, a Files app as well as more fluid drag and drop functionality that makes Apple's tablet a better productivity and content creation tool.  Other features coming to iOS 11 include capabilities for Augmented Reality or AR, a redesigned App Store with curated information on suggested apps, better Apple Music integration and discovery, an improved Siri voice assistant. Spotify and Waze integration now available on Android and iOS

It's a beautiful thing when two killer apps or services work well together. With navigation app Waze and eminent streaming service Spotify, the integration has been available on Android for some time. Starting today, however, iOS users can access Sportify directly from Waze and have the two apps work in lockstep without missing a beat. Here's how it works/

• When your car is at a complete stop, easily switch between apps with one tap for an uninterrupted listening experience.

This feature makes Waze and Spotify even better since it makes them capable of interoperability while maintaining passenger safety.

Air quality fluctuates all year round. We've got seasonal allergies from the outdoors including pollen and ragweed but we often forget about indoor allergens. It was an eye opener for us a neighbour mentioned about allergens detected in his three year old house. It prompted us to take a look around our own home and doing more research on what's inside our home

Forget spring cleaning, I'm trying to tackle areas all year round now to keep an eye on the air quality inside the home. Bed sheets and pillow cases are washed often, but don't forget about duvet covers, decorative pillows and vaccuming mattresses. Got kids? Their beloved stuffies need a good airing out too. Dust also likes to settle in places like bookshelves, window and door frames and baseboards. I aim to clean those more often as well.

Netflix launches on-demand birthday wishes for kids

Kids birthday parties have become pretty competitive over the past few years. Thanks to social media shares and Pinterest "inspiration", parents have taken their kids' birthday parties to a whole other level. We've all seen it. Moms who are obsessed with planning the parties for a four year old that is equivalent of a Sweet 16 party. Nothing wrong with that. I may have fallen in that obsession myself. After all, we gave birth to humans and these days we are looking for a reason to celebrate anything! 

But what we don't need is the stress of planning a party. According to a recent Netflix survey, 82% of parents around the world want their kids to feel special on their birthday. 71% of parents admit to feeling pressured to throw an over-the-top birthday party for their kids, but 71% also wish there was an easier way.
