For Fortnite gamers on Apple devices, it looks like you still won't be able to play the game. Epic Games says Apple has blocked the title's return to the US App Store and third-party European Union stores, which the company said means it'll be offline on iOS worldwide.
The developer submitted Fortnite to the US App Store after a judge's ruling required Apple to allow apps to direct users to external payment options. But Apple appealed this decision. Version 35.10 of the game has been released on other platforms on May 16, and the company resubmitted the title when Apple was ordered to change its process.
Epic Games' Chief Executive Officer Tim Sweeney claims it has been kept in the dark on why it hasn't passed through Apple's process. Apple hasn't made an official comment on why it blocked the game. However, it is reportedly showing a warning on the EU App Store for apps that don't use its payment system.
