At under CA$1,000, "affordable" might not be the word we'd use to describe the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE. However, it retains the price point of its predecessor and brings some much-needed updates from the "Fan Edition" version of the Galaxy S24 FE.
The Galaxy S25 FE gets the Exynos 2400 chipset, which powers the international versions of the Galaxy S24 and S24+. It isn't expected to beat the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor on the pricier Galaxy S25 models, but it is a step up from the Galaxy S24 FE. The battery also has a larger 4,900mAh capacity with 45W wired charging support, up from last year's 4,700mAh battery with 25W wired charging.
The phone also takes inspiration from the Galaxy S25 Edge and slims down a bit. It is 10% lighter than the Galaxy S24 FE, coming in at just 190g and 0.6mm slimmer. As with past FE models, it is hard to distinguish from the more premium Galaxy S25 line. It comes in jetblack, navy, icyblue, and white.
And if you wanted an entry into the Galaxy AI ecosystem, you'll get access to many generative AI features on this phone. That includes Generative Edit for your photos, Auto Trim and Audio Eraser for videos, Live Translate for real-time translations, and Now Brief to summarize what you need for your day.
The only camera update for the Galaxy S25 is its new 12-megapixel selfie camera. On the back, it still sports a 12-megapixel ultra-wide, 50-megapixel wide, and 8-megapixel telephoto. The display is also still the same 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X with up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
There are two configurations for the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: 128GB and 256GB. You can get the 128GB model for $919.99 and the 256GB variant for $999.99.
