Apple is porting its iPhone-style Charge Limits feature to the Mac to help improve the battery health of its laptops. MacRumors reported that macOS Tahoe 26.4 beta shows a new slider bar that lets you set the charging level for your laptop between 80% and 100%.

macOS is also getting the Optimized Battery Charging option that keeps a Mac laptop from charging to 100% until it is needed. The feature learns from your daily routine to determine the best time to complete the charge. The feature is accessible through the System Settings app. Head to the Battery option and click on the "i" button next to Charging.
