Apple might launch the monikered iPhone Ultra foldable device using the same strategy the company did with the iPhone X launch in 2017. According to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the tech giant is expected to unveil the device alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, but it will go on sale at a later date.

The iPhone X debuted alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in September 2017, but was only made available for purchase in November 2017. Kuo forecasts Apple will reuse this strategy for the foldable device as the smartphone will feature components that are much more difficult to manufacture. Kuo said the company might need more time to build its inventory to meet the anticipated demand.
