Best Buy Canada leaks Motorola Milestone launch date - Coming Feb 18 from Telus

Best Buy Canada has let the cat out of the bag.

On the animated banner on their Best Buy Mobile Page up this afternoon is an image of a giant Motorola Milestone announcing that we can pre-order the Android smartphone in-store starting February 5. Best Buy's ad also reveals a February 18 launch date.

No information on pricing yet but news on the wire is $199 with a three-year contract or $550 outright. We reported earlier this week that Expansys.ca was selling unlocked Motorola Milestones for $654.99.

Telus Mobility's website now has a "notify me at launch" sign-up sheet. The Motorola Milestone is featured prominently on their website but still no price information.

What Canadians need to know about the Distracted Driving Law

Starting this week, Police officers in Ontario and British Columbia have started enforcing the distracted driving law and meted fines and demerit points to drivers using handheld celfones or other mobile devices while driving.

Ontario’s Distracted Driving Law came into effect on October 26 and British Columbia followed suit on January 1. Up until now, however, both provinces have only issued warning tickets with no fines or demerit points attached. Here's what we need to know about  the distracted driving law.
