GIF support comes to Twitter

Twitter has one-upped Facebook and joins the likes of Tumblr and Pinterest with its support for GIFs. Both the Web interface and the mobile applications on Android and iOS now support those animated GIFs. Twitter made the announcement through a tweet (of course) to show how the GIFs will appear on the social network. Twitter is also offering GIF support to its APIs, meaning third-party developers will be offered the same support as Twitter clients.

Yahoo! updates Sports app for iOS, adds GIF creation tool

If you’ve thought about creating GIFs from some of your favorite sports moments, Yahoo! is giving you the power to do so on your iOS device. Yahoo! redesigned its Sports app to fit with the iOS 7 look and added a new GIF creation feature called Loops. It will allow you add your own caption, effects, and comments right inside the app. You don’t even have to look for that important or hilarious moment outside of the Sports app. You can download the app for the first time here or wait for the update to land on your iPhone or iPod touch.
