Snapheal recognized as one of the best Mac apps of the year

MacPhun's phenomenal Snapheal Mac App just got picked as one of 2012's best apps by Apple. This is a well deserved honour for one of the best applications we've tried all year and which can do a better job of cleaning up digital photos than many, more expensive applications out there. SnapHeal costs $9.99 but is well worth it if retouching photos is important to you.

WWDC 2012: iOS 6 brings new Maps, Siri upgrades and promises the mobile wallet

iOS 6 is the next generation of mobile OS from Apple and it introduces a number of new features while improving on it's strengths. Apple's introduced Siri globally and improved the personal assistant's range and intelligence. Stunning new Maps app closes the door on Google Maps while introducing a whole new solution with turn-by-turn navigation and the bird's eye-view flyover feature. The new PassBook App clips tickets, coupons, gift cards, passes and even Starbucks' cards in preparation for the mobile wallet.

SlideShow: BlackBerry World 2012 Day Two

It was a big day for Research In Motion and for their new CEO Thorsten Heins as he unveiled BlackBerry 10, their future mobile operating system. Highlights of the day included a sneak peek at the Developer Alpha Hardware, some insight into new keyboard and camera technology as well as a QNX-ready Porsche.

The day ended on a high note as RIM threw a party in Universal Studios Orlando featuring the Martinez Brothers (of the we need tools, not toys fame). It was a great way to celebrate the good news that RIM is back in the race and a nice break before everyone goes back to work to make BlackBerry 10 a contender later this year.
