'Doom Eternal' will land on the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 8

The Nintendo Switch version of the Doom Eternal is finally arriving next week on Tuesday, December 8. The release will be digital-only, though, and available through the Nintendo Switch eShop and digital codes from other retailers. According to Bethesda's FAQ for the game, those who pre-ordered the game may have their orders cancelled. You could reach out to your retailer if your order got cancelled. Doom Eternal's storage size is 18.8GB. Its The Ancient Gods: Part One downloadable content will be available at "a later date."

Nintendo warns you against using alcohol to clean your Switch Joy-Cons

In the age of the COVID-19 pandemic, it's a necessity to clean devices you use frequently. And we know a lot of Nintendo Switch users are making the most out of their game consoles. Naturally, the first instinct is to disinfect the Switch with alcohol or disinfecting wipes. But Nintendo warns against doing so. 

Kotaku translated a tweet from Nintendo Customer Service that alcohol shouldn't be used with Joy-Cons. "Recently, customers have been asking whether they can disinfect their Nintendo Switch consoles and Joy-Cons with alcohol," the tweet said. "We're very sorry to say please avoid using alcohol as it may cause the plastic parts to fade in colour or deform."

According to a recent survey commissioned by The Mobile Shop, we've learned that smartphones or smartphone accessories are topping many Canadian holiday wishlists with almost 25% of us planning to spend $50 or more in the categories. What else tops the list? 44% of Canadian would most like to receive Bluetooth headphones or a Bluetooth speaker. 21% of us want portable chargers, and 20% of us would love a new phone case or phone wallet. Not surprising, only 1% of Canadians surveyed would like a pop socket.
