Apple tipped to use U1 chip in AirPods Studio to determine headset positioning when worn

Apple's rumoured new headset, the AirPods Studio, will reportedly use the U1 chip to give it features like determining how the headphones will be worn. Prominent leaker L0vetodream shared in a series of tweets that these long-rumoured headphones will use the U1 processor, which Apple uses for Ultra Wideband communications for spatially-aware functionality (like better device detection for AirDrop on the iPhone 11).

Used with the AirPods Studio, it can help the headphones "automatically recognize the left and right positioning of the headset." It means you don't have to check if you have the right earcup on the right ear as the headphones can switch the audio channels around, making sure the left channel always goes into the left ear, and the right channel goes into the right ear.

Nike Run Club encourages you to keep weekly running streaks with new interface

If keeping streaks helps motivate you, then you'll appreciate the latest update to the Nike Run Club app on the Apple Watch. It has a new interface that shows "streaks" for running for consecutive weeks. You'd only need to run once a week to keep the streak going, but perhaps that'll incentivize you to keep going.

The app also has other new tweaks, including a new user interface that shows up mid-run. It'll now display your average pace and cadence to help improve your technique.

The speaker will reportedly be called Google Nest Audio, and it'll arrive in the colours, Charcoal, Chalk, Sage, Sand, and Sky. The Nest Audio is expected to cost around US$100 (approx. CA$132).

It's rumoured to stand around 7 inches and will feature a notification light in the front that shows volume levels and inform you when Google Assistant is listening for your input or inquiry. New photos show off PlayStation 5's sizeable footprint

Source: Taiwan's NCC

We know from Sony's dimensions that the PlayStation 5 isn't going to be a small console. But new photos from Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) reminds us just how big the console will be. The PS5 measures 15.4 inches lengthwise (or heightwise), 10.2 inches deep, and 4.1 inches thick. These measurements Sony shared doesn't even include the stand or its "largest projection."

It will be larger than the Xbox Series X and bigger than the big consoles like the original PS3, the first Xbox, and the Xbox One. So, you better prepare space for it if you don't have a place to put it yet.
