Adobe’s new dress can change colours and patterns on demand

Adobe is known for its cutting-edge software for creative professionals, but it also has some secret projects in the works. At the 2023 Adobe MAX conference, it revealed one of them: a dress that can change its appearance in real time. The dress looked normal at first, but then it turned from matte white to reflective, and different parts of it changed colours and patterns. The dress, called Project Primrose, uses special "Reflective Light-Diffuser Modules" that create flexible and non-emissive display systems.

Project Primrose is not a product, but a proof of concept. It shows a new way to preview and prototype designs and patterns almost instantaneously. The dress can display any content created with Adobe software, such as Firefly, After Effects, Stock, and Illustrator. Adobe says that this technology can be applied to other surfaces, such as furniture, bags, and more. This would allow designers to experiment with endless styles and let users download and "wear" the latest designs.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE Plus: What you need to know

Samsung has launched two new tablets for fans of affordable and versatile devices: the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE Plus. Both tablets share some features, such as a Samsung Exynos 1380 processor and Arm Mali-G68 GPU for smooth performance. They both have a 12-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera for capturing photos and videos. Samsung adds IP68 water and dust resistance for both tablets. They both get AKG-tuned dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound and S Pen support for writing and drawing on the screen.

Samsung launches Galaxy Buds FE: A budget-friendly option with ANC and auto switch

Samsung's new Galaxy Buds FE are wireless earbuds with a design similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Plus. They have a single driver on each earbud for better bass and support Bluetooth 5.2 LE with various codecs. They also have Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Mode, which you can adjust with the Galaxy Wearable app. And they support switching between Samsung devices automatically with the same account.

These Fan Edition earbuds can resist sweat (IPX2 rating) and have touch controls and wear-detection sensors. The case has a USB Type-C port for fast charging, but no wireless charging. Samsung claims these earbuds can play for up to 8.5 hours with ANC off. The case can extend the battery life to 30 hours. The Samsung Galaxy Buds FE come in two colours: graphite and white. They are not suitable for heavy rain or water immersion. You can get them for $139.99. It joins the other FE devices like the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

Threads is getting an edit button soon

Meta is bringing an edit button to Threads. And you don't have to pay for it. CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced it'll give you the option to edit your posts five minutes after they're published. The posts will have a little icon next to the timestamp to show you that it's been edited. However, unlike with X (formerly Twitter), you won't see an edit history. That means you won't see what the original post was. But it's good to see Meta rolling this out without putting it behind a paywall. And it took them a few months instead of years. Twitter added an edit feature as a perk for its formerly named Twitter Blue paid subscription service. 

Zuckerberg also announced that Voice Threads is coming to the service. This will let you record posts for the service. And as The Verge describes it, your voice will play while the text of what's being said is highlighted.
